Melissa has a design eye that directly contributes to an increase in aesthetic pleasure, good feelings and home value. As an experienced interior designer with more than ten years of experience, she has proven successful in creating designs of spaces that scream modern, sophisticated and fun. She has flipped more than 50 houses, and understand the science behind selecting and making changes to increase resale value. She is the first person client call for commercial, hospitality, in addition to designing for private homes.
Originally from a farm in Minnesota, She was raised to build and fix anything. For that reason, she has substantial experience in carpentry, wall treatments, baseboard molding, framing windows, tile work, flooring, wallpapering, painting and installing light fixtures. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. After working years with a international hospitality and residential design firm she broke off and opened her own firm Parlor 430 in 2011.
