Melissa has a design eye that directly contributes to an increase in aesthetic pleasure, timeless style and a property's value. As an experienced interior designer with over a decade of mid to high-end residential and commercial projects, she has proven successful in creating spaces that scream modern, sophisticated and fun. Melissa and her team understand the science behind commercial specifications, custom finishes and installations. As the client's representative, she will execute their vision and deliver the best results all while being extremely budget savvy. Melissa is the first person a client calls for design help on their private homes and businesses.
Originally from a farm in Minnesota, Melissa learned hands on many trades working alongside her father. For that reason, she not only formally understands design aesthetics but also the function and construction behind great design. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. After working years with a residential design firm and an international hospitality firm she broke off and opened Parlor 430 in 2011.
When she isn't saving the world one design at a time, you will find Melissa training for marathons and triathlons with her husband, who she always beats.
